Lebanese journalists meet with Coptic pope in Cairo

The Central News Agency reported that the delegation was led by the head of the LJU, Elias Aoun, who congratulated the Coptic pope on his election as the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church on Nov. 4, 2012.

During his discussions with the delegation, the pope described his relations with President Mohammad Mursi as positive, expressing optimism toward the future of his country.

The Coptic pope said that calling for a conference for all bishops of Middle Eastern countries was being discussed, confirming that he would travel to Lebanon in the future to visit the Coptic community.
